Welcome back to the 1950's. Well, something like that. With old fashioned ideals and small town social hierarchies, Pleasantville is the ideal suburban setting. And yet, it resides in modern-day America. Due to it's natural geographical barriers, the region has been untouched since the early fifites, a time of both conformity and advancement. However, any dramatic changes have yet to occur, as it's residents busy themselves in the daily routines.
But the citizens are soon to learn that progress is key to any functional society and development is an unescapable aspect of human nature. With each new birth, the youths of Pleasantville unconsciously work towards a modern and advanced society. With newfound adventures, romances, and ideas, Pleasantville will never be the same again.
